Yoga: Yoga for Veterans and First Responders

Yoga for Veterans and First Responders

Gail L’esperance and Jim O’Rourke are military veterans and yoga instructors, offering trauma sensitive yoga classes through the Connected Warrior Program. As part of their individual journeys toward health, they learned how yoga helps in healing mind and body, and they are excited to share that with you.

Gail L’esperance is a registered yoga instructor and lifelong dancer. She received her 500 hour certification from Nirvana Yoga in Atlanta. She offers classes in yoga, meditation, and healthy living. Gail’s low-key, laid-back style synchronizes movement to breath, creating a smooth transition between movements.  Her focus is on the physical aspects of yoga, as well as the breath and the peace it brings.

Jim Orourke:  I  am a US Army Vietnam Veteran and I obtained a 200 hour certificate in trauma conscious yoga from Connected Warriors in Boca Raton Florida.  I have been teaching for eight years in various locations to include three years at West Palm VA Hospital.  My past classes have been open to all military and first responders and family members.  My classes at IRSC are open to all and the style will be accessible to all people that wish to enhance their well-being thru the practice of Yoga.
