Library and Course Reserve Collections

The College libraries have Reserve Collections. These materials are in high demand by students and placement in the Reserve Collection ensures ready access to these items.

Items on reserve include books dealing with literary criticisms and other College-owned books, departmentally-owned textbooks, personal copies of faculty items, and media. The collections at these libraries differ, but IRSC's online catalog lists these items as being on reserve. Textbooks, personal copies, and media are restricted to in-house use. The Main Campus Library loans its other reserve items for two days. Pruitt Campus Library does not loan its reserve items as it is comprised of departmentally-owned textbooks and personal copies of faculty items. Morgade Library keeps its collection of high use items in Reference. The Brackett Library does not maintain a reserves collection aside from the textbook collection which is for in-library use only.

Please send all inquiries about placing materials and textbooks on reserve to the IRSC Librarians at library@irsc.edu. We do label personal copies with a barcode and security label.
