Abraham Lincoln's "A House Divided"

Cite the page number in the in-text citation.

"With high hope for the future, no prediction in regard to it is ventured. On the occasion corresponding to this four years ago, all thoughts were anxiously directed to an impending civil war" (Lincoln 8). 

 

When you have more than one work by the same author, list the author's name the first time it appears in the Works Cited list and in subsequent citations, use three hyphens --- in place of repeating the author's name.
