Though outnumbered and underfunded, they love what they do even if they don't love the school district's less-than-stellar attitude toward educating children.
Abbott Elementary is a workplace comedy where a group of passionate, dedicated teachers, alongside their tone-deaf principal, strive to give their students the best education despite many, many odds. This is one of my favorite shows! It is hilarious while also revealing the severity of underfunded public schools. Highly recommend!

Told from the point of view of the daughter, Mia, this book follows a family's desperate search for their father who disappears after going for a walk in the local nature reserve. The only witness to what happened is Eugene, her nonverbal little brother. This book leads you through many twists and turns making it an engaging read. It taught me new information about people with nonspeaking disabilities, and provided perspectives I have never considered before. I highly recommend!

I loved this book because it provided a new perspective on how impactful the strangers in your life can become and it made me laugh out loud!
