Health Literacy Student Fellows: Home

Project description

This project addresses the identified need by St. Lucie County to increase the dissemination of health information that is accurate, accessible, and actionable by targeting one specific demographic: college students. By combining information literacy training with consumer health research, technology, and project management students will draw connections between information literacy and their own personal lives. The integrated project application component will increase the amount of relevance students see in the topics. Newly developed content (learning objects) will be generated from the community experts, project director, and student fellows throughout this project which will then be converted to learning modules and uploaded to the college library’s website for use by all, providing sustainability to this project as well as fulfilling a goal of the community health improvement plan.
