Policy Analysis Paper

This LibGuide was created to help you with completing your Policy Analysis Paper. You are to choose any public issue of interest and write a 3 page paper defining the problem or issue, describing its background, and providing a balanced assessment of options that policy makers could pursue to resolve the problem. Your paper should conclude with a recommended policy/course of action. You will present your analysis at the end of the semester. The paper will use Turabian style. You can visit https://www.congress.gov to choose a policy/public issue.

Type the policy you've chosen in Padlet here and we'll get started on researching it.

One Question

Let the librarian know about one question you still have. Is there anything you'd like clarified before you work on your paper on your own? Type your question here in Padlet.

Plagiarism

What is plagiarism?

"The act of claiming someone else's work as your own."

Remember: Everything you find has been created by someone else.

Here are some examples of plagiarism:

Failing to cite when you copy and paste

Failing to cite when you reword what someone else has said or written

Failing to cite when you take information from the Web

Reusing a paper that you have written in another course (self-plagiarism)
