ENC1101 Pechter Robin Mueller: Part 2: Analyzing Perspectives about the Topic

This guide is designed to help you find appropriate sources for your research paper.

Finding Other Perspectives

The databases CQ Researcher Plus Archive and Opposing Viewpoints in Context are great starting points for learning more about topics which have more than one side to them. These databases are a really good place to get ideas for your paper, to do some pre-research, and to possibly find articles you can use.

Analyzing Perspectives About Your Topic: Part 2

For this section of your research paper, you will explore historical, social, or scientific topics related to your anchor book. For example, if you read Gay America: Struggle for Equality you may want to search for books or articles about the rights gay Americans are not afforded if they cannot marry like the right to visit their partners in the hospital.
