Copyright and Plagiarism: Open Educational Resources (OER)

Open texts on different aspects of English composition and grammar, written by experts. Some have undergone the peer-review process and some are available as a cheaper hardbound copy versus a free online copy.

A multi-institutional collaborative project that creates textbooks and supplementary learning materials that are open access. This project is funded by the National Science Foundation. Subjects include chemistry, biology, geology, mathematics, statistics, physics, social sciences, engineering, medicine, agriculture, and photosciences.

Over 50,000 OER materials are available here. Subjects available are applied science, arts and humanities, business and communication, career and technical education, education, English language arts, history, law, life science, mathematics, physical science, and social science.

Joint initiative of the University of Florida Press and the LibraryPress@UF imprint. The Press and Libraries have a collaborative Mellon Open Book grant which will result in out-of-print titles from the University Press of Florida being brought back as digital books in a variety of formats. All of the books will be released with the Creative Commons Attribution Noncommercial-No Derivative Works 3.0 Unported License.
