Fair Use in Your Classroom

"Can I use this copyrighted material in my class?"

When in doubt, just set up a consult! We get a lot of questions like this. Your IRSC librarians are your local experts on copyright and fair use.  We'll guide you through determining how copyrighted material can be used in your instruction. Here are some places to find quick answers:


Public domain or copyright free images on the Internet abound. Here are some sites you can search and use for educational, commercial, or personal use. Most sites stipulate that while the images are copyright free, you need to be careful about using other people's logos.
