Interested in linking digital literacy skills with your classes? Request an instruction session to introduce your students to the library and to apps that will help them study, work and organize their assignments.
This project was made possible in part by the Institute for Museum and Library Services.
In 2013, IRSC Libraries received a grant entitled From STEM to Sternum from the Institute of Museum and Library Services. This innovation project aims to foster the development of digital literacy skills. Become involved by attending a workshop, earning a badge, or including an App Library Instruction session in one of your upcoming classes. Contact an IRSC Librarian for more information.
Everyone is at a different point on their digital literacy learning path. IRSC Libraries offers workshops utilizing a variety of technologies to help students and staff master new skills. Some workshops take place in a computer lab and tackle issues such as cloud computing and web searching. Others utilize devices such as iPad Minis, Google Nexus Tablets, and Microsoft Surface Tablets to allow users to explore resources and discover ways to use their own device more effectively. Unless indicated, equipment will be provided at each session.
