Tutorial for Research

Welcome to IRSC Libraries.This tutorial is designed to provide an overview of library resources and introduce you the research tools needed to complete the research portion of your Capstone project. Please start by introducing yourself to your librarians for this course and letting us know what topic you have chosen and take a quick ungraded pre-test. Then work your way through the exercises below, which includes reading the content in the boxes, watching videos, and viewing the prezi on APA. You'll finish this tutorial by completing the post-test at the end. If you have questions at any point, please do not hesitate to contact an IRSC librarian.

Database Login for Students

Your Borrower ID is your student ID (PID for employees)

Your PIN is your 4-digit birth date (MMDD)

Student Database Login (Student ID is used as Borrower ID, PIN is MMDD of birthday)

IRSC can borrow many different titles from other libraries. If you have a specific title you want, you can search for it using the IRSC full catalog by changing the At search to All 28 Colleges. If you find the title there, click on the college name at the bottom of the record and then click 'Request' to request the book from that college. If you are looking for a specific article or book not found in the catalog, use the Request an Item form below to borrow the material from another library.
